Thank You!
I'd like to take a quick minute to thank everyone who has been so supportive of the Vintage Marketplace. The enthusiasm created at our first show in Nashville has been highly contagious. The vendors who stuck their neck out on a first time show, the customers who came smiling, bought and have been spreading the word deserve a tremendous thank you. The bloggers, Facebookers and others whose help has been critical in getting the word out also deserve heartfelt thanks. Those looking forward to our second show at the Springfield Extravaganza (nearly sold out) won't be disappointed. Thanks to Sue Whitney and the rest of the JunkMarket team and our staff for helping bake this cake. It's been a breath of fresh air to be able to work on something that is generating this level of excitement. Stay Tuned- more to come.

What we're getting ourselves into-
For those of you who have never been to the Vintage Marketplace or the Springfield Extravaganza- let me share a little bit of the back story. The Vintage Marketplace is a new edition to our shows. Think all things vintage, stylish, modern, junky and chic. This group of dealers will be housed in a series of large tents in the center hub of the May Extravaganza- May 18-20.
The Extravaganza itself is a 40 year old institution featuring 2000 vendors and over 20,000 customers. The show features antiques, collectibles, garden & flea market finds. Simply put, if you can't find it here, it can't be found.
The addition of the Vintage Marketplace to the Extravaganza means one thing. Take out your 2012 calendar and write the words "can't miss" on the dates May 18-20,2012.

"Count me in."

That’s the first thing Jackie Lines of Shambora Studio, shamborastudios.blogspot.com told me when I mentioned our upcoming Vintage Marketplace at the Springfield Extravaganza this May. She was thrilled, as we all were, with the success of our Vintage Marketplace at last month’s Tailgate-Music Valley Antique Show held at the Hendersonville Expo Center in Tennessee. In a word , she described the show as “fun”, and it really was. She loved the camaraderie and networking that took place with other artists both before and during the show. She and I were amazed that even though each booth had its own unique atmosphere, they all worked together to create a truly fresh and beautiful show. And Jackie reported strong sales, several of which were to shop owners who wanted to bring that fresh, updated look into their own shops. She felt the show got a great response from customers; that they understood they could work vintage pieces into any décor.
Jackie summed up the Vintage Marketplace by saying, “people were happy, everyone was smiling and having a good time”. Ahhh, that’s music to a show promoter’s ears.
